Giving sharks an identity.

Last Thursday, April 18th, started a three-day live performance; painting a mural on Sea Shepherd Global’s Amsterdam headquarters, located between the Museum Quarter and Vondel Park. The building is also home to the Sea Shepherd Store and Tattoo Studio, where profits from both help fund the marine conservation organization’s direct-action campaigns to protect marine wildlife and ocean habitats around the world.

The mural, with an endangered shark themed design was finished by Saturday afternoon. Belgian artist and Sea Shepherd volunteer Willem Cattersel, made a unique and clear statement with his powerful design. He got ‘a little’ help from Gideon. During the creation of the mural, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday a lot of people showed their interest. Special limited-edition prints and exclusive T-shirts made for the event are for sale in the Sea Shepherd Store.
